Our Managing Director, Mark, has cycled over 80 miles calling at every station of the beautiful Settle-Carlisle railway on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the first passenger train along the line. Highlights included being sung to by children in Victorian costumes, and helping still family-owned business Bells of Lazonby celebrate their own 80th anniversary of their founding by eating some fabulous carrot cake! The route was demanding and hilly, but the whole experience was very rewarding.
Riding with his local cycling club, the Settle Wheelers, the event was in aid of wonderful local charity Dementia Forward, and the fundraising page is still open here.
