About Us

Alexika was founded in 1998 by Mark Robinson, a German Studies graduate who had a decade of experience of industrial sales and marketing across international boundaries – purchasing high quality translations was a key element of that role. He also had the benefit of an MBA from one of Europe’s leading business schools. Co-founder Sabine Robinson, a native German with a UK degree written entirely in English, brought experience from within the translation sector and from international business. She understood how to supply high quality languages services to commercial clients better than other translation companies. So the aim for Alexika from the start was to provide a high quality professional language service to business and commerce. We understand why high quality translation is so important to our clients. We understand the need to deliver when we say we will, and to provide good value for money. Today the company serves clients throughout the UK and Europe, and we translate for multi-national organisations as well as small companies.
People are our most important asset. The in-house team today are all graduates with a mixture of linguistic and other post-graduate qualifications. Our translators are based all over the world. Translators work into their mother tongue, and all translators and interpreters are fully qualified and experienced.
We use a specialist project management system to deliver the highest levels of service. The latest SDL Trados® translation memory technology is used where appropriate to ensure consistency of terminology. We will continue to invest in the latest technology where there is a clear benefit to our clients.
We also offer training in SDL Trados® translation software for translators and translation project managers. Courses are held at our very pleasant offices in Addingham near Leeds in the North of England.
Alexika Ltd is a full member of the Association of Translation Companies and an ISO9001 Quality Assured firm.
